# Dodo Payments

> Connect Dodo Payments for Customers and Disputes, in live mode or in test mode.

Connect Dodo Payments so that Customers shows who pays you, what each one pays and who is about to leave. Troopy also
reads the disputes of the account, and prepares the evidence of each one. Dodo Payments takes evidence only in its
dashboard, so you upload it there. Troopy never changes anything in Dodo Payments.

## Before you begin

Owners and admins connect, replace and disconnect a service.

## What Troopy reads, and for what

| Product   | What it reads                                                            |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Customers | Each subscription with its customer, and the payments. A read each hour. |
| Disputes  | The disputes, with the records to prepare the evidence.                  |

Analytics does not read revenue from Dodo Payments. To send its payments to Analytics, use the Payment API of Analytics.

## Connect Dodo Payments

1. Open **Settings** > **Apps**, and select the tile of Dodo Payments. Its card opens.
2. Select **Open Dodo Payments**.
3. Under **Developer** > **API Keys**, create a key named Troopy, and copy it.
4. Paste it into the card, and select **Connect Dodo Payments**.

A key works in live mode or in test mode. Troopy finds which when it connects. A key of test mode reads the test
payments.

## Disputes of Dodo Payments

1. Troopy prepares the evidence of each dispute, as for Stripe.
2. Download each document on the page of the dispute.
3. Upload them in the dashboard of Dodo Payments.
4. Come back to Troopy, and press **I sent it**.

Dodo Payments names no deadline. Troopy shows 10 days, from its documents, for people to read. Only the status of Dodo
Payments closes such a dispute. See [Answer payment disputes](/docs/disputes).

## Replace or disconnect

- **Replace key** puts a new key in the place of the old one.
- **Disconnect** removes the key. Customers takes the subscriptions of Dodo Payments off its customers.
