# Pick a plan for a workspace > Start with the Trial, pick Pro or Ultra for each workspace, and change the plan, the card or the invoices. Each workspace of your organization has its own plan at Troopy: a Trial, Pro, Max or Ultra. Your people are free, and your teammates think with your own AI plan, which you pay its provider for. This page tells you what each plan gives, how to pick one, and what happens when a plan ends. ## Before you begin - Only owners and admins of the organization see **Settings** > **Billing** and pick a plan. When the plan needs someone, the other people see a line over each page that says so. - A plan is for the open workspace. To change the plan of another workspace, switch to it first. With your own OpenAI key in **Settings** > **AI** > **Images**, calls have no limit of minutes. See [Chat with a teammate and call it](/docs/chat). > [!NOTE] > The Engineer of a Pro workspace builds on the small computer. A big repo can run out of disk or memory there. Max > gives it the bigger computer, and Ultra the largest. ## Start with the Trial The first workspace of your organization starts its Trial in setup, after you pick the AI plan. Each organization has one Trial. 1. On **Start your 3-day free trial**, select **Monthly** or **Yearly**. 2. Select **Try Pro free**, **Try Max free** or **Try Ultra free**. The plan that you picked on the pricing page of troopy.ai comes first. 3. Give your card in Stripe Checkout. Stripe charges nothing for 3 days. The computer of the workspace then launches. The Trial gives the plan that you picked, with its teammates, its computer and its limits. When the 3 days end, Stripe charges the card for the plan. To stop the plan before then, open **Settings** > **Billing**, select **Manage or cancel**, and cancel the plan in the portal of Stripe. **Settings** > **Billing** shows the plan, the days that are left, and the date of the first charge. A day before the end, a line over each page says that the Trial ends soon. ## Pick a plan 1. Open **Settings**. Under **Workspace**, select **Billing**. 2. Under **Pick a plan**, select **Monthly** or **Yearly**. 3. Select **Choose Pro**, **Choose Max** or **Choose Ultra**. 4. Pay in Stripe Checkout. You can add a promotion code and a tax id there. Troopy opens **Settings** > **Billing** again with the plan. The plan shows its price, and when it renews. The organization is one customer at Stripe. Its billing portal shows the plans and the invoices of each workspace. ## Add a workspace that pays A new workspace has no Trial. Its setup asks for a plan, and Stripe charges the card at once, before its computer launches. 1. Open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar, and select **New workspace**. 2. Give the business its name, and its website or a description. 3. On **Pick a plan for** _your business_, choose Pro, Max or Ultra, and pay in Stripe Checkout. The computer of the workspace then launches. See [Use organizations and workspaces](/docs/workspaces). ## Change the plan, the card or the invoices While a plan works, **Settings** > **Billing** has **Manage in portal**. It opens the billing portal of Stripe. There you can: - move between Pro, Max and Ultra - move from monthly to yearly, with **Switch to yearly** too - change the card - read and download the invoices - cancel at the end of the period A plan that you canceled works until the end of its period. **Billing** shows **Ends** and the day. ## When a payment fails **Billing** shows **Payment failed**, and a line over each page says so. Stripe tries the card again, and your troop keeps working meanwhile. Select **Update the card** and give a card that works. ## When a plan ends When a plan ends, or a Trial that you cancelled ends, the teammates of the workspace stop, and its computer sleeps. Your data stays: the docs, the tasks, the brain and the apps. **Home** opens **Billing** for owners and admins. Pick a plan, and the troop works again. ## Problems | Message or symptom | Why | What to do | | ------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | | **Billing** is not in **Settings**. | Only owners and admins of the organization see it. | Ask an owner or an admin. | | "Pick a plan for this workspace first." | The workspace has no Trial and no plan. | Start the Trial or pick a plan in setup. | | "Stripe didn't open the checkout. Try again in a minute." | Stripe did not answer. | Try again in a minute. | | "The plan of this workspace ended." | The plan or its Trial ended, so no teammate starts work. | Pick a plan. | | "This workspace has a plan.
