# Set up your brand

> Keep the logos, colours, fonts, voice and competitors of your business, so that teammates follow them.

The brand keeps how your business looks and sounds: its logos, colours, fonts, picture style, tagline and call to
action. It also keeps who the business is for, its competitors, and its pictures. Teammates follow the brand in what
they write and draw. This page tells how to set it up.

## Open Brand

Open **Brain** in the dock, then the **Brand** tab. Brand has 5 parts, in a menu that stays in view:

| Part | What it holds |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Look** | The logos, the colours, the fonts, the picture style and the cards of articles. |
| **Company** | The website, what the business does, the tagline, why people pick you, who it is for and the call to action. |
| **Voice** | How the business sounds: the Voice file. |
| **Competitors** | The competitors of the business, and the ones that teammates suggest. |
| **Pictures** | The logos, screenshots, photos and graphics that teammates put in articles and posts. |

A line under the title says where the brand came from, such as "Read from acme.com, 2 days ago". The parts share one
draft, which saves after a pause. Each part shows its own saves.

## How the brand fills itself

1. **Troopy reads your look from the website**

Add the website on **Company**. Troopy reads its colours, its fonts, its icon and the first screen, in the browser
of the Chief of Staff. To read it later, select the link **Read** and the site **again** under the title. A workspace reads its site 3 times an
   hour at most.

2. **The Chief of Staff writes the empty lines**

With an AI plan connected, the Chief of Staff drafts the lines that are empty. They are the tagline, why people pick
you, who it is for and not for, the call to action and the picture style.

3. **You keep the last word**

A read of the website or a draft of a teammate never changes a part that a person set. Change any part, and it
   stays yours.

## Look

| Setting | What it does |
| -------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Logos | A logo **On a light background** and one **On a dark background**. |
| **Colours** | The **Accent**, the **Background** and the **Background of the cards**. |
| **Fonts** | The **Font of titles** and the **Font of the other words**, from a list of Google Fonts. |
| **Print grain** | A faint texture over each card, as on paper. |
| **How your pictures look** | The picture style that goes with each picture that a teammate makes with AI. |

**Cards** shows sample cards in your look, in the light and the dark look. A teammate's cards for an article look like
this. Without the 3 colours, a card keeps the default colours of Troopy.

## Company

Each line saves by itself:

- **Website** and **What the business does**: what you sell, who buys it and where.
- **Tagline**: the business in one line.
- **Why people pick you**: what you do for them that others do not, and your price.
- **Who it's for**: the people or companies who buy, and what they want.
- **Who it's not for**: who you turn away, so that teammates leave them out.
- The call to action: the **Words of the button**, and **Where the button goes**. Teammates end posts and articles with
  it.

The Company file of the brain shows here too. The name and the logo of the workspace stay in **Settings** >
**Workspace**.

## Voice

The Voice file says how the business sounds. Teammates read it before they write. Anyone in the workspace edits it.
See [Manage what your troop remembers](/docs/memory).

## Competitors

1. Select **Add** to add a competitor by its **Website**, like rival.com, with a line on how you differ.
2. Or select **Find competitors**. The Competitor watcher, or else the Researcher, looks for more.
3. Under **Suggested**, select **Add** or **Dismiss** on each one that a teammate found.

Teammates may read the sites of competitors, and never type on them. A workspace keeps 30 competitors and 20
suggestions. A competitor that you dismiss does not come back.

## Pictures

1. Open **Pictures**, then drop PNG, JPEG or WebP images, 8 MB each at most.
2. Give each one its kind: a logo, a screenshot, a photo or a graphic.

Teammates put these pictures in articles and posts. A workspace keeps 200 pictures. A cover of an article never takes a
screenshot.

## Who can do what

- Owners, admins and members change the brand.
- Viewers and approvers read it.
