Settings reference
Look up each page of Settings, what it holds and who can change it.
Settings holds the choices of the open workspace, of the organization above it, and of your own account. This page lists each page of Settings, what it holds, who can change it and the guide that tells more.
Open Settings
Select Settings in the dock at the bottom of the sidebar, or open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar. The pages are in three groups: Workspace, Organization and Account. On a phone, the groups are one menu above the page.
The address of each page has its ?tab=, so you can keep a link to a page. Some pages have tabs of their own, such as
Settings > Workspace > Backup.
Workspace
These pages hold the choices of the open workspace only. To change another workspace, switch to it first. In this table, admins include the admins of the workspace, unless a row says otherwise.
| Page | What it holds | Who changes it |
|---|---|---|
| General | The tabs General, Public dashboard and Backup. | See the table below. |
| Billing | The plan of the workspace, Pro, Max and Ultra while it has none, its voice minutes and its runs. | Only owners and admins of the organization see it. |
| Troop | The model and effort of each AI plan, a row for each teammate, and Troop names. | Owners and admins. Only those of the organization change Troop names. |
| AI | The tabs Models, Images and Tools. | Owners and admins. Only those of the organization add and order the plans. |
| The tabs Inboxes and rules, Mailboxes and Domain. | Owners and admins. A person without Email does not see the page. | |
| Apps | The tabs Apps, Telegram, Slack and Discord. | Owners and admins connect apps. Each person links their own Telegram. |
| Engineering | Plans, Releases, Testing and Auto-release of engineering tickets. | Owners and admins. |
| Tests | After a test: what Troopy and the QA tester do by themselves after a test. | Owners and admins. |
| API keys | Your keys for the API, the MCP server and the CLI. | Each person makes their own. Viewers, approvers and guests make none. |
The tabs of General
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| General | Logo, Name, Time zone and region, Content language and Troop chat. |
| Public dashboard | The switch, the link, Search engines and What the view shows. See Share a read-only view. |
| Backup | Export workspace, with Export JSON, and What the file holds. See Download a backup. |
Members change the name, the time zone, the region, the language and Who handles it of the troop chat. Owners and admins change the logo, Learn from what people say and Learn from finished tasks.
Who handles it says what happens to a message in the troop chat that names no teammate:
- The troop decides: a quick read. A teammate answers, looks into it quietly, reacts, or leaves it to the people.
- The lead answers: the Chief of Staff answers each such message.
With one person in the workspace, the lead always answers. See Talk in the troop chat.
The tabs of AI
| Tab | What it holds | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Models | What the troop runs on, the plans to try next, the cards of the plans, and Limits of each teammate. | Choose AI plans and models |
| Images | The image providers, Image model, Art with no yes and Stock photos. | Image providers |
| Tools | Every tool of teammates in its family, with its calls of the last 30 days and its switch. | Switch tools on and off |
The tabs of Apps
| Tab | What it holds | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Apps | The apps that are on, then every app in its group, with a search. Soon marks an app that comes later. | |
| Telegram | The link of your own Telegram, and the bot of the workspace. | Telegram |
| Slack | Soon: talk to a teammate from Slack. | |
| Discord | Soon: talk to a teammate from Discord. |
A tile of an app that Troopy connects opens its card. The card says what teammates do with the app and how to connect it. Gmail and Outlook open the mailboxes of Email, and the image providers open Images.
One teammate
On Settings > Troop, select a teammate to open all of its settings. Configure in the header of a teammate opens the same page. Its tabs are:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Configuration | The plan, model and effort, the routines, the sites, the standing rules, the tools and the pause. |
| Notes | What the teammate keeps in mind between tasks. |
| Personality | How the teammate works and talks. |
| Identity | Its name, its job and its voice. |
| Appearance | Its face: a robot head or a plush bot. |
See Hire and manage teammates.
Organization
These pages hold the choices of the whole organization, for each workspace in it.
| Page | What it holds | Who changes it |
|---|---|---|
| General | Name, Overview, Workspaces with Switch, and Billing. | Owners and admins of the organization. |
| People | Members, with the role of each person, and Invite people. | Owners and admins of the organization. |
Overview shows the owner, and the counts of people, workspaces and AI plans. Billing leads to Settings > Billing of the open workspace. See Pick a plan for a workspace. To add a workspace, open the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar. See Use organizations and workspaces and Invite people and choose their roles.
Account
These pages are yours alone, the same in every workspace. Each person changes their own, a viewer and a guest too.
| Page | What it holds | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Your photo and your name. | Manage your account |
| Notifications | The bell and email for each event. | Choose your notifications |
| Appearance | Theme, Light shade, Dark shade and Animated faces, on this device. | Manage your account |
| Security | Your passkeys, what happened with them, and the apps that act for you. | Manage your account |
What a reader sees
A viewer, an approver and a guest read the pages of Settings, and change only their own things:
- The fields of a page of the workspace or the organization are off for a reader.
- A reader changes Profile, Notifications, Appearance, Security and API keys, where the role lets it.
- A guest sees only Profile, Notifications, Appearance and Security.
See Invite people and choose their roles.
