Switch tools on and off
See every tool that teammates use and its calls, and switch a family or one tool off for the troop.
Teammates work through tools: a tool reads the brain, opens a web page, sends an email or writes code. The Tools page lists every tool of your troop in its family, with its calls. Owners and admins switch a family or one tool off for the whole troop. This page tells how.
Open the Tools page
Open Settings > AI > Tools. The page has 3 parts, from top to bottom:

To see only the tools and the tasks of one teammate, pick it under By teammate. The address holds the pick
(?teammate=).
The families that are always on

The families with a switch
The other families are in sections: Brain and troop, The web, Sales, Numbers and Engineering.

Each card shows the teammates that hold its tools, and their calls. Open a card to see each tool, what it gives, its calls, and Waits for a yes when a person approves its calls.
Switch a tool off
- Open the card of the family.
- Turn the switch of the card off to switch off the whole family.
- Or clear the checkbox of one tool to switch off that tool only.
Some families work only as a whole. Their card says "These tools work together, so they switch on and off as one." It has no checkboxes.
What a tool that is off does
- A run leaves the tools that are off out of the role of its teammate. Its prompt names them, so that the teammate tells you what it cannot do.
- An approval of a tool that is off fails.
- A feature whose tools are off starts no run, and says why. These features are engineering tickets, test runs, looks at incidents, research and Find leads.
- Settings > Troop marks the tools that are off in the configuration of each teammate.
Read the calls
The calls show how much the troop uses each tool. The page shows the 10 tasks with the most calls, and those of each teammate. A chat with no task counts apart. Use the calls to find a tool that a teammate uses too much, or never uses.
Who can do what
- Owners and admins switch tools off and on.
- The other people read the page.
