Ask the Social media manager for an X article with pictures, check its numbers and copy it to X.

The Social media manager writes long articles for X, with pictures. The article is a draft in Troopy: a person pastes it into X, and Troopy never posts. Troopy names each number of the article that no source of the run shows. This page tells how to ask for an article, check it, add its pictures and copy it to X.

Before you begin

Write an article

  1. Ask for it

In the chat of the Social media manager, send /x-article and a topic, such as "/x-article how we cut our delivery time in half".

  2. Pick a title

The teammate reads the brain and searches for fresh proof. It answers with 3 titles, each with its hook and its proof. Reply with the one that you want.

  3. Read the draft

The teammate researches, takes screenshots as proof, and writes the article. It saves the article as a draft, and as a doc of kind article in Docs. It also saves the short post that announces the article.

  4. Check the flags

The draft names each number that nothing of the run shows, as a flag. The teammate corrects the numbers and saves one more time. Read each flag that stays, and fix the number or its source.

The conversation keeps the skill: each run after /x-article starts with the skill open. See Add and manage skills.

The pictures

The draft already has stock photos. A note such as [Picture: the delivery van at dawn] marks a place that waits for a picture. Ask the teammate for the pictures, or select Make the pictures in the menu of the doc.

PictureWhat it is
Stock photoA photo from Pexels, with a credits line at the end of the article.
CoverA card of 1200 x 480 with the title, in the look of your brand. It can hold a photo or art beside the title.
CardA card of 1200 x 675: a number, two numbers, steps, a table, a quote or a chart.
ArtA picture from your image provider, in the picture style of your brand.
ScreenshotA picture of a page, as proof.
  • Each picture goes in the doc of the article, in the place of its note.
  • A chart of numbers that no source gives shows no numbers, and says Illustration.
  • A run makes 10 cards at most, and a workspace makes 20 pictures of art a day, or 60 on Ultra.

Art and your yes

Art uses your own key at the image provider, and the provider bills it. A person approves each batch of art, and sees the words of each picture first. An owner or admin can turn on art with no yes in Settings > AI > Images. Work that an event from outside Troopy started still waits for a yes.

Change a picture

In the doc, open the menu of a picture, and select Regenerate. Say what to change, or nothing. The teammate makes it again, in its place. Regenerate all pictures in the menu of the doc asks for each one again.

Copy the article to X

  1. Open the doc of the article in Docs.
  2. At the top of the doc, select Copy title (the T icon). Paste it into the title of your X article.
  3. Select Copy for X beside it. It copies the text as rich text.
  4. Paste it into the body of your X article.
  5. In the doc, put the pointer on the cover, and select Download at its top right. Add it as the cover of your X article.
  6. Put the pointer on each other picture, and select Copy at its top right. Paste it in X at the same place.
  7. Read the article in X once, then post it.

X has no tables and no code blocks. Thus Copy for X makes each row of a table an item of a list, with its first cell in bold. Each code block becomes a quote.

The doc shows the flags of the article too. When you change the doc, Troopy checks the numbers again.

In a routine

The Social media manager can write an article in a routine. Nobody picks a title then: the writer writes its best title. Without the art grant, a routine makes no art, so that its task never waits for a yes.
